Twinkie

This is the third of our trio that we brought in two weeks ago. Meet Twinkie-Twink-Twinkie Girl. I’m her foster and we switch it up.

Twinkie is a 16-week-old, 5.8 pound Cairn Terrier mix. The shelter vets determined that she needs an enucleation due to trauma to her eye. In simple terms, she needs her eye removed.

Twinkie’s surgery is today (March 5th) at Heidi’s Village. Right now, her eye is sensitive to touch and sunlight. We’re grateful that her eye will be taken while she’s still young. She’s fairly adjusted already because I don’t believe she can see out of it now. Having it removed will save her from later infections and take her pain away.

As always, we need your support. We brought the trio in two weeks ago and another hot mess girl a few days ago so the bank account is quite low. I’m sure you already know that Twink’s surgery and aftercare are going to be expensive, even with the rescue discount our vet so generously gives us.

You know when we say, “any amount”, we truly mean that. The dollars, whether one of twenty, add up quickly for the dogs and that’s all we need is to be able to forward money to the vet. We would greatly appreciate any help you can give. Whether that is monetary, sharing this post, or both. Having our posts shared is valuable. Thank you all for helping these dogs that deserve a wonderful rest of their life.
