Raspberry

Meet Raspberry, the newest member of the M.A.I.N. family. She is a short haired Chihuahua mix, has great markings and colors, is two years old, and is a peanut at just six pounds.

Little Miss Raspberry found herself at the Arizona Humane Society badly injured. She was picked up as a stray dog with obvious signs that she’d been hit by a car. She was scared, in a lot of pain, and she couldn’t walk. When the shelter doctor picked her up for an exam, they said poor Raspberry screamed. Obviously, they didn’t proceed at that point.

The vet at AHS put Raspberry on morphine and she rested for a bit. They later sedated her and took x-rays. The doctor found that this poor girl had “several” pelvic fractures, and that her SI is dislocated. Just think of how badly she hurt and felt.

Raspberry is on pain medication, and lots of crate rest while she heals. So, for now, she’s taking it easy and being sufficiently spoiled.
