💖It’s been a while since we’ve had a hot mess girl come in, but here we are.💖 When we say hot mess, we mean a big hot mess in a little body.
This is 6-pound, 8 year old Nana, Hot Mess Queen. 👑
Nana is a sweet senior girl who is content to nap or go on a walk. She’s getting spoiled and loved at her foster home. She needs to gain some weight, and the shelter and our vet have checked her. 🥰
According to the shelter, Nana has the following problems: Her nails were curled into her paw pad. She has a heart murmur secondary to mitral regurgitation, severe dental disease, sparse fur, and mammary masses. ❤️🩹
Wait, we aren’t done. Here’s what her bloodwork at our vet showed. The results lean towards pancreatitis. She has fluid in her uterus, but the vet doesn’t feel its pyometra. We’ll monitor that, and once she’s able, she will get spayed. Her white blood count is slightly elevated, as are her pancreatic enzymes, which are both consistent with pancreatitis. PHEW! Told you, Hot Mess Queen.😒
Some great news is that she’s eating well. Her results came back negative for Tick Fever and Valley Fever. Her thyroid is also good. So there are some positives in that little body of hers.👏
Now, we are starting to check things off her list of needs. We will go slowly to keep her and her body happy.
We’re sorry if you’re tired of us asking for money. Honestly, we wish we didn’t have to do it. However, it’s impossible to accumulate donations because we’re constantly paying for vet bills for each dog we bring in and the few we have in medical foster care that need continued care. We hope that one day we won’t need so much money, but for now, we have to ask.
We appreciate that the M.A.I.N. family is part of the village that it takes to get these dogs healthy and eventually into the perfect forever family.
