Meet Summer.
This adorable little kitten was found in a car engine with a broken leg and was unadoptable at the pound due to her injury.
Summer is approximately five weeks old and weighs only about one pound! Despite her obvious pain, she maintains her sweet, loving disposition.
We will make sure Summer has the vet care she needs and all the TLC she could want in a wonderful foster home!

Summer has officially been adopted by her foster family! Congrats Summer!
A note on Summer from her foster mom: Summer is a wonderful kitten with a sparkly personality. Summer gets along well with other cats and dogs/puppies, although a slow introduction is always advisable. She’s good with people although she’s never been around children- she certainly would be good with older kids of elementary school aged and up. Summer loves to play with cat’s toys and has even engaged in play with our two small Chihuahuas. Summer is litter box trained. She is also a good eater. She sleeps at night in our guest room at the moment as she is still quite small and young but can certainly enjoy her nighttime activities in her new home without being in a separate room. She would love other cats to play with in her new home. Actually, I highly recommend at least one other cat to be her new sibling. She would be bored if she didn’t have a friend or two who enjoy each other’s company. She is a Tabby with beautiful markings. She has a grayish/brown/tan body with dark stripes along her body and legs and “leopard” spots on her sides. I think she looks very exotic. Summer is spayed and has had her vaccinations and is micro-chipped.
Update from Summer’s foster mom, June 20th: Little Summer is getting SO big! More importantly, she got her splint off this week! The vet said her X-rays looked great and she has developed a nice, healthy callus on the bone where the break was…now she can run and play!
