Ernest

Meet Ernest. He’s the super handsome (almost) 2 year old, terrier mix boy in the Medical Animals in Need rescue. In November 2018 the AZ Humane Society contacted MAIN because Ernest was in need of emergency care due to pelvic fractures and a broken elbow. Of course MAIN stepped in and he was immediately taken to our partner veterinarians, where his elbow surgery was successfully completed the following day. He’s been recuperating in his foster home while learning some manners and how to trust others, and simply enjoying the good life. Now that Ernest is all healed up, he’s in search of the forever family that he deserves.

Ernest is almost 2 and weighs around 15 pounds. He is neutered, up-to-date on all shots, has a microchip, and gets along with other dogs no matter the size and he’s friendly with cats too. He loves to run and play. He’s afraid of fireworks and basically any loud noises. He’s a bit on the shy side at first. However, once he warms up to you, you’ll have a loving and loyal best friend for life.
