This boy, that is way-too-cute, is Buddy. He’s a 7 month old Fox Terrier mix. Buddy was a stray when the AZ Humane Society saved him from the streets and the AZ heat. Once they saw the severity of Buddy’s eyes they reached out to MAIN asking if MAIN could help this sweet puppy. MAIN stepped in and Buddy started on meds immediately after seeing one of our partner vets at Bethany Animal Hospital. Unfortunately, this type of skin issue isn’t quick to go away but Buddy is definitely improving. He has less goop and his fur is slowly growing back. Recently he developed some red areas on his belly (this kid is too young to be such a mess!) so the awesome folks a MAIN have (of course) approved visits at Dermatology for Animals. More tests will be done to determine what this sweet boy is dealing with. Once we know what it is, Buddy will begin any additional treatments needed and get on that road to recovery that leads to adoption.

Buddy is 7 months old, neutered, has a microchip, he’s up-to-date on all shots, and licensed through Maricopa County. He’s around 13 pounds, loves to run and play, and is happy to hang with his humans too. He enjoys toys and loves other dogs of any size. Buddy is house trained and has no clue that he has ANY kind of ailments. He’s a boy, he’s a puppy, and he doesn’t let these little issues get him down.
