Meet Maggie! Maggie was dying at Apache Junction Animal Control with an enormous tumor between her legs that had burst open overnight…

Medical Update: After being transported to the safety of BAH, it was determined by Dr. Katie that the tumor had rotted from the inside after growing it’s own blood supply! Fortunately, the tumor was NOT cancerous! She’s being treated for infection and pain and will have surgery to remove the remaining growth. Dr. Katie estimates her age at approximately five years old.

Maggie’s Updates:

Maggie has been adopted by her foster family! She is so loved, they decided they just couldn’t let her go. Congrats to Maggie and her new fur-ever family!

Maggie!Update from Maggie’s foster mom, Oct. 24th: Maggie is the most delightful dog. She is laid back, quiet, affectionate. She is very hard of hearing, so any training we have tried has been very slow. She has learned to sit…but only for food. 🙂

Update from Maggie’s foster mom, Sept. 8th: I have gotten her to lose four pounds. She is walking at least a mile everyday. Overall she is doing great!
