Rudy, Pit Bull Mix Puppy

2015-05-09 13.02.18Rudy is 5 months old, tri-color, listed as a pit mix…positive for non-contagious Demodex mange.

He loves to play ball and has been very good for a puppy. He’s VERY itchy kid right now, but he’ll feel SO much better when his meds start to kick in.

Please, if you are able, help us with Rudy’s medical care by clicking the link below. Every little bit helps!

We will be sure to keep everyone up to date on Rudy’s progress- we can’t wait to see this guy all healed up.

Rudy’s Updates:

Rudy has officially been adopted by his foster family! Congrats Rudy!

Rudy2Rudy’s Adoptapet Bio: Hello, hello, hello. I’m Rudy and I’m very excited to meet all of you. I can tell you a little about my life so far, but I can’t remember too much, seeing as I’m not even a year old yet. When the wonderful, unbelievable humans at M.A.I.N. found me I was in tough shape. Had really itchy skin and gross – I had worms! Whew, in no time at all I was back to fighting shape. That was great because then I could have a ball with my dog and human friends. My foster tells me I’m quite the social butterfly. I love to play with my pup friends and could probably use a brother or sister at my new home to work out some of my energy. A big yard would be good too and oh I love hikes, fetch the ball and playing in the water! Even though I’m young, I’m learning all my commands (my foster tells me I’m a really smart boy with a big personality). I’ve never been around kids, but I bet I would love them (maybe bigger kids would be better as I’m kinda big myself). I’m told I’m very protective and observant so I would be happy to keep you and your family safe always. Just looking for my forever home and hoping it’s yours. Come and meet me any time.

RudyUpdate June, 2015: Rudy is doing great! He had his first skin scrape since rescue and although his skin looks tons better, the official read of the scrape was inconclusive…so we will wait for the next one! Rudy had his shots and vaccinations this month and is getting closer to being cleared for furever!

Update from Rudy, May 2015: “I’m loving life in my new foster home! My favorite thing is soaking up some sun rays. I am NOT a fan of my medicated shampoos though, but mom says I have to have them to help me heal. I’m getting to know my new siblings- I like them but I don’t really want them to know it yet, I’ll give them a little more time to get to know me better before I let them know…. Lol… I do love to sleep and play ball in the big grass yard. Mom says I’m really smart too! Cause when she tells me to come and sit I always do!! My new foster family really loves me and well… I love them too!”
