Meet Frankie! Frankie was rescued from County after being attacked by another dog.
Frankie is currently receiving treatment for his wounds at BAH. In addition to his neck and leg wounds requiring multiple drains, he had a broken toe that required a splint.
Frankie’s Updates:
Frankie has been adopted! This adorably shy and sweet guy has found his perfect fur-ever home; congrats to all!
A note from Frankie’s foster mom: Frankie is approximately two years old and weighs 17 pounds. He came to us with many bite marks and drains in his neck plus a limp. We soon discovered that he had a broken toe as well as the neck wounds. Several splints later and lots of TLC and Frankie is all healed and always the first one in line for his morning walk. Frankie’s life prior to coming to us must have been pretty bad as he was afraid of everyone and everything. He has learned what it’s like to live in a family and is very mild. He is shy of strangers but will warm up and very politely and wait for a pet. Frankie does well with all our dogs, but they are small and he has not been around larger dogs. He is a very sweet guy and reminds me of a Benjie dog or Tramp from Lady and the Tramp. He will bond well with a new family and be a great addition!
8/13 from foster mom, Judy: Frankie is now sporting a spiffy cast with a sock over it on his right front foot. Seems he had a broken toe which caused the elusive limp. I am thinking of getting him an eye patch and a stuffed parrot to sit on his shoulder. Unbelievable how his whole disposition has changed now that he is not is pain. If you can’t see his tail in the pictures, that’s because he is wagging it nonstop.
