Frasier was rescued from County with a non-weight bearing leg that is causing him pain.

Unfortunately Frasier’s leg was not able to be saved and he required an amputation. He gets around wonderfully on three paws though and does not let this slow him down in the least!

Frasier’s Updates:

Frasier has been adopted! This adorable and spunky triPAWd has finally found his perfect, fur-ever family complete with two doggy siblings. Congrats to Frasier and his new family!

TriPAWd FrasierFrom foster mom, Colleen: He is such a sweet, mellow little guy! He is just so cute! When he’s done rolling in the grass, he shakes from head to toe- sometimes even shakes himself so much he falls over,  haha, poor guy.

We just love him and he is sweet as pie!  He’s really starting to relax more and venture out in the house.  He loves to be with his people.  When he sees us in the morning, he is all tail wags. He then will put his leg up on you for some head rubs and ear scratches.  He’ll do the same if you are sitting down.  He’ll put his leg up on you for some love and scratches, then gets so relaxed, he slides down onto his back into a back scratch.

He starts out sleeping in the room with us and the girls, but usually ends up in the living room on the couch, LOL.

He is totally housetrained, and completely trustworthy.  He has been going to the patio door to let us know he wants to go out, but can hold it for a long time.  He watches the girls go through the dog door, so he I think he would easily be trained to use one. Again, we didn’t start that yet b/c of his staples.

We haven’t yet found any toys, he’s interested in.  He still prefers his humans.  He will come up and grab at your hand with his mouth when he wants to play.  He’s shown interest in my dogs, but not any real playing as of yet.  He will use them as a leaning post though. maybe that will change when his staples are gone. I think they sense he is injured as well and have been very gentle around him.  Caught my lab sleeping on floor near him the first night he went to sleep on the couch:)

Also, he is a bit sensitive if you get a little to rough with him or grab at his feet.  He will warn you by putting his mouth on your hand/ arm.  There is absolutely no pressure, no bite, no marks, anything, but it seems to be a warning when he doesn’t like something.

I would recommend he go to a house with older kids who realize this, or adults.  I would worry about little ones grabbing him and not understanding why.   He would make a geat pet for an older couple, since he’s so low key and mellow. We have only heard one peep out of him the entire week! and it was one tiny peep last night.
