Since 2012, M.A.I.N. has grown from a group of 5, to an army of more than 12,000 who (as we’ve all seen) transform lives every day.  We celebrate our wins and we grieve our losses together, and each of us plays an important part.  We are constantly reminded that our slogan “Together, we save lives” suits us perfectly as the lives of more than 500 dogs have made their way across our pages of Facebook, our emails and our websites.

Heather and BruleThis idea of saving the sick and injured in Arizona’s shelter system from euthanasia has become a movement that encompasses 20 different countries with a reach of more than 50,000 people per week.  To say that we are humbled by the outpouring of support for these dogs, just doesn’t describe how we see all of you, well enough.  We are truly in awe.

We’ve been thinking of a way we could celebrate these milestones on Facebook, and we believe we’ve found it.  We’d like to introduce you to the biggest idea M.A.I.N. has had to date, The 5X5 Challenge. “Five by five” is radio lingo that means a signal that has excellent strength and perfect clarity. We believe that describes our mission perfectly!

CharlotteWhat if $5.00 was all it took to save every sick and injured shelter animal from euthanasia.  Would you spend it?

You’ve seen the faces of dogs like Charlotte and you’ve witnessed through photos and video their heartbreaking stories.  You’ve shed tears of joy and of sorrow right along with us over many of these dogs and you’ve watched the “spark” return to their eyes for SO many of them.  What if that “spark” cost $5.00?

5000-5Being an army has its privileges. When there are 5 people, an annual budget of $300,000 is just too large a hurdle to get past, and we have to turn away many of these dogs simply because there aren’t enough funds.  But we don’t stand alone, thanks to you.

Our dream is to see 5,000 of our friends and supporters enrolled in this challenge!

Your $5.00 per month donation ensures that Medical Animals In Need has an operating budget that will meet the needs of 300 or more dogs each year.  Dogs that would otherwise be euthanized can be saved because M.A.I.N. will have a budget in place to care for them and get them the treatments they so desperately need.  $5.00 per month is all this help could take.

You’ve seen the miracles that we’ve all been responsible for over the past year.  Get ready for many many more.  Together, we save lives.
