Meet Daphne.
When we saw Daphne’s picture on the euthanasia list at county, we knew immediately we had to help. This poor girl’s fur was mostly missing and she was covered in dry, crusty scabs from head to toe.
She was listed at two years old and “temp human,” meaning she displayed some aggressive signs towards people. When we evaluated her, however, we found a playful pup who immediately climbed in our laps and gave us kisses and tail wags!
Upon evaluation at our partner vet, Daphne tested positive for demodex mange…and it turns out she’s only eight months old! The vet also believes her ears were not surgically cropped, meaning someone did this in their own home.
We are sorry for what Daphne’s life must have been before ending up in this condition at the shelter, but we’re grateful for all the love and support we know Daphne will have from here on out!
Please, if you are able, donate to Daphne’s medical care chip-in fund via PayPal below. Thank You!
