Meet Cotton.
We received an urgent plea from the Humane Society of Yuma to help this tiny Poodle boy .
He came in with a fractured distal femur on his right hind leg. The fracture is ugly and required surgery to repair the leg. We were initially not sure if we could save the leg due to the age of the fracture and the splintering of the bone.
Dr. Katie worked her magic once again, and this six year old sweetie is now on the road to recovery.
The pin will need to be removed in a few weeks, requiring a second surgery. We will also do a much needed dental at that time and neuter him before he will be ready for adoption.

Cotton’s Updates:
Cotton has been adopted! Congrats to Cotton and his furever family.
Update May 2015 from Cotton’s foster mom: Cotton is recovering very quickly from his leg surgery. He sleeps a lot, but when he goes outside to potty he’s walking easily on his new bionic leg. Loves naps. He’s only 10 pounds- he’s easy to take care of! He spends most of his time in his crate and goes outside for potty breaks. He likes to cuddle and gets along with my other three larger dogs.
