Meet Sydney!
Sorry, we cannot share names, but we’ll call our good samaritan, Joe…Joe has been responsible for rescuing lost dogs for years, according to the animal control officer, so when a friendly young Doberman limped to greet him last night on his walk and followed him home, Joe just made a bed for her in the living room and let her fall asleep for the evening while he hung signs in the neighborhood and posted in the area lost and found sections.
However, this morning – as Joe was getting ready for work – he noticed that Sydney was not using her back leg to get around – and when he examined it more closely, noticed that her injuries were horrible. He called Animal Control immediately, and they called us.
It’s so nice to hear a true back story of one of our M.A.I.N. pups. So often, we get little to no information, but stories like this remind all of us that there are angels on almost every street corner in the world. I’m sure Sydney appreciates hers very much and so do we. Thank you Joe!
Sydney’s Updates:
Sydney has been adopted! Congrats to Sydney and her new family! She plans to spend the summer traveling in a motorhome with her new mom and doggy sibling, Poppy!
From Sydney’s foster mom: Sydney is an incredibly sweet dog. She is playful and LOVES toys. She’s great on a leash, will sit and come on command and takes treats nicely. She’s very dog social, though still has puppy in her and is learning manners. She LOVES people and can be possessive of HER person, but is learning to share nicely with other dogs. Sydney loves to snuggle, go to the dog park, go for walks and play in the yard. She will be a wonderful addition to almost any family!
