Meet Skipper! Skipper was rescued off the county euthanasia list with his kennel mate, Gilligan.
Both have tested positive for Demodex Mange (non-contagious type). They will receive medicated baths in foster homes and when medically cleared, find their perfect, fur-ever homes!
Skipper’s Updates: Skipper has been adopted! Congrats to Skipper and his new fur-ever mom!
A note from Skipper’s foster mom: Skipper is a lover, although he loves to play with you and other dogs or cats. He is not scared of big dogs! He is friendly with cats. He barks like crazy when a male even enters his sight. I’ve tried working on it and he still just goes nuts. However he is good with two special needs males that he has met multiple times. He is very protective of his mom. He is also protective over food. He loves being carried around everywhere. Also loves snuggling. Loves car rides. He pounces and waves his paws in the air when you play with him- absolutely adorable. Almost potty trained. He is good on walks and at the park.
Skipper’s Petfinder bio:Hi everyone! My name is Skipper! I may be a little guy, but I guarantee I have a big enough personality to be the Captain of Your Heart! Just sit right back and you’ll hear a “tail,” a “tail” of a handsome young Chihuahua! Not long ago I was scheduled to be euthanized at the county pound because of a Mange infection. Luckily, M.A.I.N. stepped in to rescue me and after medicated baths in a foster home, I’m all healed and ready for my fur-ever home! Like all good Chihuahuas, I get pretty attached to my humans and love to snuggle! Looking for a little lap dog to cuddle and carry around? You can count on me! I have a playful side too and my foster mom says I’m so cute when I pounce and paw at the air! I ride great in the car, so it will be easy to take me to the dog park or anywhere you want to go. I get along great with other dogs and I would love to have a little buddy in my fur-ever home! My foster mom says to tell you I’m almost completely potty trained too- I’m a real smart boy. I’ll do my best to make your days a little brighter- you’re sure to get a smile every day! Set up a meet and greet with me today and let’s sail away to my fur-ever home! My adoption fee is $150. I am neutered, up to date on Bordetella, DHPP and Rabies AND come with my county license!
