Meet Nala.

Nala is an adorable young pup who found herself at the county pound and worse yet, scheduled to be euthanized with a suspected Mange infection.

We didn’t have much time to act, as this sweet girl was set to be put down in the morning, so we arranged for transport and busted this pup out of the pound!

Upon further evaluation at our partner vet’s office, we got some surprising (and good!) news: Nala does NOT have Mange and is, in fact, a healthy young puppy approximately three months old!

Our vet says she should be cleared for adoption once she gets spayed and her shots are up to date.

What can we say?! With so many dogs in our care needing extensive medical treatment, we’re grateful for this quick turn-around and the chance to help rescue another beautiful soul from euthanasia.

Nala has been adopted! Congrats to Nala and her new family!

From Nala’s foster mom: Nala is playful and affectionate. She likes to be near her human. She is a strong puppy, does best with older kids, and needs another medium sized dog to play with (Nala is approx 13 pounds). A good sized yard to run in is a must. She is learning her puppy skills, and needs a family who will continue her training. She loves chew toys. She is crate trained and fairly housebroken. She is a total sweetheart. She gets her romp in the yard two to three times a day, and is fairly calm in the house.
