Meet Luka and Beethoven!
Both were dumped at the shelter by their owners after they became ill; Beethoven and Luka were immediately placed on the euthanasia list. At just three years old, their health has been ignored for so long, that both Luka and Beethoven test positive for Sarcoptic Mange, Hearthworm AND Tick Fever.
Luka and Beethoven’s Updates: Both Luka and Beethoven have made full recoveries and are now happy and healthy dogs! Luka was adopted by a wonderful family here in Az and Beethoven is living large with his fur-ever family in Colorado!
December 27th 2012:
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I wanted to give you a quick update on Beethoven – he is doing GREAT!!! Attached is a picture from yesterday. Abe (our son) got him a stocking with dog treats, a Xmas collar, and a squeaky toy. J He has experienced what I believe is his first snowfall – he loves the snow and even lays down in it after a good frolic. His coat is perfect for the weather and I think he really feels at home.
He’s been really happy in Colorado. He’s gone to the vet a couple of times for check-ups and is getting healthier and healthier with every visit. He’s put on about 3-4 pounds, so he no longer has rib or hip bones protruding, and he is eating very well. Everyone loves him, even our friends who meet him for the first time, because of his inherent sweetness and laid-back attitude. He still hangs out in our bathroom on occasion but is more and more comfortable laying under the kitchen table or lounging in our t.v. room. He gets four walks each day and the kids spontaneously hug him at least 20 times a day. He’s very into guarding our house, so if he hears anything, he likes to give a few deep barks before hiding out in the bathroom with his tail wagging. He’s adorable and has impacted our family in such a positive way. THANK YOU for everything you did to connect him to us. Our lives would not be the same without him.
All my best,
Alexis

Why do people take on pets when they have no intention of taking care of them? Hope the rest of their lives will be the best of their lives.
