Update.
I’m sure you remember our wizard boy Harry Potter. How could you not remember this super cute face? Well, Harry is doing great.
Harry is doing much better on his legs. He’s getting stronger and stronger, and he’s started playing with toys and the other dogs in his foster house. It’s always an amazing feeling to watch the dogs come out of their injury or fear shell. It shows they’re happy and feeling much better. Harry is at that point.
Mr. Potter is 5 years old and about 13 pounds. He’s such a cute Yorkie boy. Harry isn’t available for adoption yet but we’ll let you know when he is.
Time for an update on the Wizard.
Harry Potter has healed up but, a month or so ago, he went to the vet because he had been dribbling everywhere and not acting like himself. Long story short Harry was in chronic pain. According to the vet, things aren’t where they should be because of Harry’s pelvic fracture which had been causing him a lot of pain. The vet is comparing the X-rays from both clinics to see what’s changed or if the pain is just worse because of how active he is. HP is back on pain medication, and the vet is going to consult with an orthopedic surgeon to see what his options are. It’s not the update we were hoping to give but medical dogs are unpredictable.
We’ll keep you posted on how he is doing!
We’ve got some wizardry happening in MAIN!
Last week, the Humane Society contacted MAIN with the hope that we’d have a foster home available for this handsome boy. Unfortunately, we didn’t. We’re maxed out with dogs. Thankfully, one of our recent adopters agreed to foster until we find a permanent one.
WE’RE IN DESPERATE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES.
Please welcome HARRY POTTER to the family. He’s 5 years old, a Yorkie boy and he weighs 12.5 pounds. It appears that Harry has been hit by a car. He has multiple pelvic fractures. His right side has a mild IS luxation, pubic and ischial fracture with mild displacement. The left side of his pelvis has an ilium fracture, caudal acetabulum fracture, and ischial fracture with significant displacement. He’s able to support weight on his right hind leg relatively well and will support himself for a short time on his left hind leg but then they slide out and collapse. Our partner vet will evaluate Harry but right now he’s on some serious crate rest.
If you’d like to become a foster for Harry or any upcoming dogs please fill out our foster application at https://medicalanimalsinneed.com/foster-care

I’ve been looking at your website and would love to volunteer .I had a multi poo who was blind and pretty deaf but loved him dearly . So i have a passion for sick and injured animals. Part of my passion for sick or hurt animals comes from the fact that I am a disabled person in a wheelchair and feel like we help each other .i hope to hear from you. 480-338-2527
