Dulce is available for ADOPTION
This cute little girl is Dulce and she’s adoptable! Dulce is an 8 pound, 3 year old, sweet as can be, Chihuahua mix low rider. Dulce had a lot going on when she came to MAIN. She had pneumonia and large hernias; one of which had a big rupture wound. She had open wounds on her leg; also noted, were some old, blackened, scars. We don’t know how she got any of the old and new injuries. Often, it’s better that we not know the why or how as it can be maddening. So we focused on the present and getting her better. She’s had her surgeries, is all healed up, been sufficiently spoiled, gotten micro-chipped, spayed, shots, and now it’s time for this special girl to find herself a family to adopt.
Dulce is a very loving and cuddly dog who loves her people. She ignores the house cat and she’s great with other little dogs. She hasn’t been around any medium or large dogs so we don’t know how she’d feel about them. Dulce is house trained to the door and with a doggie door. She sleeps in a kennel or with her person. She gets kenneled when her foster mom is gone for short periods. This girl knows sit and is working on stay. She does need some leash training and will run if the door is open so that needs to be a training priority. Her foster mom is working with her on it that also. Dulce is respectful of property and not destructive. She does have a bit of a bad habit though; she’s quite the friend licker.
Dulce is loving, kind, happy, and wants a family of her own. She’s spayed, microchipped, licensed with Maricopa County, and up-to-date on her shots.
