Meet Chase! Chase is approximately six years old and was rescued from the County euthanasia list with serious injuries…

Chase has lacerations around his stomach and the inside of his right rear leg. He cannot bear weight on his left rear leg. He also has multiple abrasions and puncture wounds and had been receiving antibiotics and pain medication. We are not sure what happened to the little guy that he ended up in this condition, but we will be sure to do all we can to help him! As always, we will keep you updated on his progress.

Medical Update, Nov. 12th: Chase went under anesthesia to remove what was initially believed to be tumors from his legs. However, after xrays, it was discovered that Chase has a broken pelvis and the “tumors” were actually hematomas caused by his injuries. Chase received a full dental cleaning while under anesthesia, as his teeth were in horrible shape!

 Chase’s Updates:

Chase has been adopted! Congrats to Chase and his fur-ever family!

Update from Chase’s foster mom, Nov. 13th: Chase had a very good night. He’s awake and alert this morning. He took his pills without a problem. I’m used to trying to pill cats so this was a dream. I tied his E-collar to his harness but he still managed to get it off. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house. What a good little dog!

Update from Chase’s foster mom, Nov. 11th: Chase and I had a great day today. He got a bath and took a walk around the block. That’s all he could handle, but we’ll keep trying to go further. He understands that when he hears the garage door his human is home. Took a nap with him on the couch. He’s learned that even though his name is Chase, chasing kitties doesn’t end well. He seems to be crate trained but does not seem to understand simple commands yet. Anyway, he’s doing great. Right now he is next to me under a blankie.

Update from Chase’s foster mom, Nov. 10th:First night with Chase went quite well. He cried in his crate for about 20 minutes and then that’s all I heard of him. He even let me go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and didn’t cry about it. Monty and Toni (kitties) are out with him and he’s figured out that he’d better leave them alone.

ChaseChase’s Adoptapet Bio: Hi! My name is Chase, an adorable Min-Pin “chasing” my perfect, fur-ever home! I just know my happy ending is out there, but my story hasn’t been easy so far. You see, not too long ago I was scheduled to be euthanized at the county pound because of injuries I had after being hit by a car. I had many scrapes and bruises and my pelvis was fractured. Luckily, M.A.I.N. stepped up to save me and after some time healing in a foster home, I am getting stronger and stronger. I’m now ready to start the search for my fur-ever home! I hope you think I sound interesting, because I bet we could be great friends! Let me tell you about myself. I love to go on walks and can go further each day as I feel better and better. I get along good with my doggy and kitty foster siblings, but what I really love most in this world is being with my human; I’m a true lap dog! I can be a bit shy at first, but I warm up quick and I know you’ll find me worth the effort. I am also crate trained and mostly house-trained. I’m a real happy guy; life is great after all, now that I’ve been rescued! The only piece missing to my puzzle is my new family…could that be you?! If you’re looking for a sweet little companion to stick by your side and brighten your days, I’m your guy! I am approximately six years old and my adoption fee is $150. I am neutered, up to date on Bordetella, DHPP and Rabies AND come with my county license!
