Meet Tobie.
It’s obvious this little puppy is cute! But look closer and you’ll see that Tobie has a terrible eye condition causing redness and drainage from his eyes. This medical condition made him unadoptable and landed him on the county euthanasia list.
The only way Tobie would be able to get out of the shelter alive was through a rescue. M.A.I.N. stepped up and we will be getting this pup the care and treatment he deserves!
Medical update on Tobie, April 8th from the vet: Bloodwork is pending. Tobie has really curly eyelashes and very small eyelid openings. I suspect he may outgrow this problem- his tear ducts may be clogged, which I can fix at neuter time. This isn’t really distichiasis because the eyelashes are coming out the right way and then curling every which way! IF it doesn’t self correct in time, I can make a really small entropion type correction to point his lashes a slightly different direction away from his corneas. We will send ointment for his eyes with him to foster and recheck in a week.
Please, if you are able, donate to Tobie’s medical care chip in fund via Pay Pal below. As you all know, vet care is costly and we can only continue to help dogs like Tobie with your ongoing support. Thank You!
Tobie’s Updates:
Tobie has been adopted! Congrats to Tobie and his new fur-ever!
Tobie’s Petfinder bio: Hi! I’m Tobie! I’m a rambunctious and playful little guy looking for a home to call my own. I know you’re probably wondering why an absolutely adorable pup like me doesn’t have a home. Well, back in April, I was rescued from the county pound with an eye condition. After proper vet care and treatment in a great foster home, I am 100% healthy and ready for my fur-ever.
Enough of all that boring stuff though- let’s talk about fun stuff! I’m an energetic little guy and LOVE to play. My favorite games are fetch and chase. I think it’s fun when my human friends chase me and I’m super fast- catch me if you can! I hope you have lots of toys at your house and even bubbles! I think it’s so much fun to chase the bubbles in the air and my human friends can’t stop laughing when I do. That’s the kind of guy I am- a real ham for attention and always making the humans laugh! After all that play-time, I’d love to cuddle up next to you for a nap. Once I wake up though…game time again! I’m also a smart little boy and already know “sit.” Are you impressed?! Maybe you could teach me more tricks! Puppies can be a lot of work but I just know I’m worth it!
