2 month old male shepherd mix found on the reservation with sarcoptic mange.
Poor Timber. All this kid can do is itch while the mites burrow through his skin. He is miserable and alone, and now he’s on the county’s euthanasia list.
But, M.A.I.N. heard of this little boy’s plight, so the transporters rushed down to save him and bring him to our vet.
He is very young, and has been a weakened immune system – so, the exposure to diseases at the county shelter is definitely a concern. But, with a lot of help and a little luck, he will be feeling better in no time at all.
If you can help with Timber’s veterinary expenses, then Thank You! We’ll keep you updated on him as we learn more…
Timber’s Updates:
Timber has been adopted! Congrats to Timber and his fur-ever family!
Timber’s Petfinder Bio: “Hi! It’s me, Timber- the puppy you’ve been searching for! Lucky for you, I’m looking for a family to call my own! I have quite the big story for a little guy: you see, a few months ago I was brought into the county pound with a terrible Mange infection. As cute as I was, I wasn’t adoptable in this condition, so it’s a lucky thing for me that M.A.I.N. swooped in to save me! I have been receiving treatment in a great foster home and I’m now healthy and ready for my fur-ever home.
Let me tell you all about myself. I may be a mix of breeds, but I’m 100% fun! I love playing with toys and my doggy friends. I recently discovered that swimming is great fun too! Basically whatever you want to do, I’m up for it! I have a great puppy energy and I’m sure to make you smile every day. I’m also super smart and already know “sit,” “stay” and to wait for “ok” before I eat my food. Pretty impressive, huh?! I would love to learn new tricks- I’m very eager to please and I only ask that you reward me with lots of love and attention. I love people and am super friendly with everyone I meet. Smart, friendly and adorable- I’m the whole package!
From Timber’s foster family, May 28th: He is growing super fast! He loves people and kids too…he’s a sweetie. His skin/fur is looking great- no more wrinkles, scabs or weird patches.
From Timber’s foster family, April 26th:
Timber stopped by Don’s house for our Summer-time Photo Shoot!
Timber is such a curious, happy, smart puppy and we fell in love with his adorable face and happy personality!
Gladly pitched in for this little one, thanks so much for saving this little guy! You guys are awesome!
Thanks SO much Diane!
just donated as well, thank you guys!
can anyone adopt timber??????????he is so darn cute!!!
Love you guys! Question: do you ever give the pups probiotics? I have always wondered if it would help them like it does people. They have really helped reduce inflammation in me (human type chick)!
Hey guys! Any idea when Timber will be done with his medical treatments?! We are getting antsy waiting to meet this cutie pie!
Hey Erin! We have an email out to the vet to get a better idea of a time frame for you…we’ll keep you posted! 🙂
I am also interested in Timber. When will he be available for adoption, or does he need a foster home when he gets out of “medical foster?” Is he able to be seen at this time? Please email me with info if possible. I am very interested. Thanks
Hi Gabi! Timber will be medically cleared soon and ready for adoption. Please email us your adoption inquiry to medicalanimalsnneed@gmail.com. Thank you! 🙂
