Update – Petunia is still looking for a family that’s her own. We truly cannot figure out why she hasn’t been adopted yet. She is happy, loving, playful, easy going, and of course beautiful. Some people have thought that she needs her wheelchair at all times but she doesn’t. She gets around wonderfully in her foster home without her chair. She loves to go on walks and does need her chair for that.
There’s a new development with Petunia. She has always been like Velcro to her foster mom; yes even in the bathroom and during mom’s shower time. However, Petunia has begun to give the foster mom some freedom and isn’t so glued to her. Here’s Petunia with one of her foster humans. If you’d like to know more about Petunia or meet her please fill out our adoption application or contact us at medicalanimalsinneed@gmail.com.
Petunia is now 18 months old and still waiting for the perfect family. She’s growing and learning every day. She enjoys playing with humans of all ages and is up for some horsing around with her K-9 friends. Her foster mom and foster Aunt have been working hard to help Petunia with her water fear. They’ve definitely succeeded because Petunia has recently decided that she might enjoy (rather than avoid) the family pool. Petunia also loves chasing the ball in the yard while showing off her catching tricks and being goofy.
She’s loyal and loving. She needs an outlet of some sort for all of that energy and she must have a grass yard to play in. Petunia needs a person that is available to take her outside throughout the day to go potty because dog doors aren’t easy for her. She sleeps quietly through the night at the foot of the bed and she loves hanging with kids. Petunia is loved beyond words by her foster family but she would love a family to call her own.
