We are hoping to bring this tiny one into rescue. Can anyone pledge for his medical care? It’s a tough time of year, and all of the dogs we’ve rescued lately have serious ongoing medical issues, costing thousands of dollars. We can’t bear to see this little one sit there with his painful face. He appears to be suffering from Puppy Strangles.

Update:

The new kid has a name! Welcome Peanut to the MAIN family. Here he is this morning getting ready to go to the vet. This tiny nugget weighs just 2 lbs.

We will let you know how the visit goes!

Thank you Brenda Livengood for fostering this little one. 🐾

A huge thank you!! to everyone who has made a donation towards his care so far! 💞

Peanut now 7 weeks at check up. Ok to stop antibiotics and continue steroids and antibiotics cream. He weights 2.5 lbs.

Update September 22nd 2017:

Bella and Peanut Playing.. So cute!

Update September 30th 2017:

Guess who saw the vet yesterday?

Peanut now weights 3.8 lbs, and he has definitely gotten taller. The vet is pleased with his progress so we are going to start weaning him off the steroids . He is doing well. He’s all puppy! His foster mom reports that he’s catching on to the puppy pads, and going potty outside about 70% of the time. He’s also at that age where he’s teething badly.

Awwwww Peanut! Don’t grow up TOO fast.
