Meet Mr. Bones.
Mr. Bones was rescued from the county shelter when they urgently called us to see if we could help. This poor little guy has quite a lot going on!
Bones is unable to open his mouth, is very thin and has some hair loss throughout his body.
Bones’ symptoms are concerning for masticatory myositis (an inflammation and degeneration of the jaw muscle tissue) or Hepatozoon Americanus (a tick-born disease affecting multiple organs and causing muscle wasting).
We will get Xrays and send bloodwork off, in the hopes that we can come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan for this little guy ASAP!
In the meantime, Mr. Bones is safe in foster and is being fed a special diet. We will be sure to keep everyone posted on Mr. Bones.
Please, if you are able, donate to his medical care chip in fund below. Every little bit counts. Thank You!
