Meet Moose! Moose is approximately five years old. He was scheduled for euthanasia at the County pound due to suspected medical issues.
His medical notes read: “suspected arthritis as dog is reluctant to rise, generalized hair loss on trunk and legs, has tragic look to face and breed is predisposed to hypothyroidism. Testing is recommended.”
Luckily, M.A.I.N. stepped in to rescue Moose and he will have a full vet evaluation at Bethany Animal Hospital!
Update, Nov. 8th: After a full vet eval at Bethany Animal Hospital, it has been determined that Moose’s only medical issue is his left knee. The vets think that physical therapy (controlled leash walks and ice) will do wonders for him!
Moose’s Updates:
Moose has officially been adopted by his foster family! He joins M.A.I.N. alumni, Ebony in his fur-ever home. We LOVE repeat adopters!
Update, Dec. 8th: Moose has been doing some physical therapy, walking in the sand. He has also been started on pain medication and seems to be using his leg much more. For now, he is receiving pain medications and physical therapy in a foster home. He does wonderful with his doggy foster siblings and his foster mom loves him!
