Meet Manny.
Manny was rescued from the Humane Society of Yuma with an unknown skin condition. Poor Manny is only seven months old and would normally be a highly adoptable pup if it weren’t for the patches of hair missing on his little body.
Manny’s ears were also in terrible shape, embedded with dirt and hair and with a terrible odor. Manny has already been taken to our partner vet, where his ears were cleaned and a skin cytology sent off.
He will be started on antibiotics and a special shampoo until we know exactly what we are dealing with in regards to his skin issues.
Please, if you are able, donate to Manny’s medical care via PayPal below. Every little bit counts! We will keep you all updated on Manny’s diagnosis and progress as he recovers in a loving foster home. Thank You!
Manny’s Updates:
Manny has been adopted! Congrats to Manny and his furever family.
Manny’s Adoptapet Bio: Manny’s my name and fun is my game. Hey, I wasn’t always this cute. When those wonderful, caring folks at M.A.I.N. found me at the pound in Yuma I looked like a Martian. Really, I hardly had any hair on my old self. It was falling out in patches. But those folks saw the beauty underneath the beast. Lucky for me. Also my ears were a disgrace. But it’s all is good now. So I’m just a pup, not even a year old, but with care and discipline from my foster Mom I’m learning how to be a well behaved canine. I already know “sit” and “stay” and have mastered the doggy door too. I will probably have to stay on a grain free diet (or so they tell me) or my allergies may come back, but that’s pretty simple. I live with other pups and love to hang out with them. I also like the human kiddies (especially the little ones, probably because I’m not so big myself). I love to snuggle and play and just enjoy life. Maybe we could meet to see if I fit with you and your family. I’m pretty mellow, so I’m positive everything will work out. In the meantime, let me know if you want to come and visit. Hey, I’m kinda cute now. No beast, just beauty. I know we could have a wonderful life together.
From Manny’s foster mom, Sept. 2015: Manny is classic puppy- he loves to play and is very loving. He’s working on his housetraining with the doggy door and learning to “sit” on command. Manny is doing well with the itching now- he is on allergy meds and a grain free diet. He’s a very sweet, loving, silly puppy!
