Meet JoJo.
JoJo is an approximately five year old Yorkie mix rescued from the county pound with limping of his rear leg and a suspected pelvic fracture.
JoJo wants to get adopted; he wants to come up to greet the people that walk by his kennel, but it’s hard with his injury. It’s hard for any dog to stand out in a full shelter, let alone one with a serious injury making him un-adoptable. And so JoJo waited…waited for a rescue to find him and get him the medical care he needs and the love he so deserves.
Luckily M.A.I.N. was alerted to this sweet boy’s condition and he is now the newest member of our M.A.I.N. family! The initial diagnosis for JoJo is a fractured pelvis; we will know more about whether surgery is an option once our partner vet fully reviews the x-rays.
For now, JoJo is SAFE and will be headed to a wonderful foster home with pain medicine and all the TLC he could hope for.

JoJo’s Updates:
JoJo has been adopted! Congrats to this little cutie and his fur-ever family!
Medical Update, Jan. 13th from vet: Yikes! This is one of the worst pelvic fractures M.A.I.N. has had! The plan for now is exercise restriction until healing since JoJo is walking currently.
From JoJo’s foster, Jan. 11th: Here are a few pictures I took of JoJo after his bath and haircut this afternoon. They’re not too good, but he sure smells better! He is on strict crate rest, so this was during one of the potty breaks. He is sooo sweet! We’ll have him fixed up in no time!
