Meet Jax.
First, we apologize for the graphic nature of these photos, but we don’t know how else to show you the serious condition of the newest M.A.I.N. dog. This poor Lab mix came in to the shelter in this condition as a stray and we were immediately contacted to help. We are assuming the leg needs to be amputated, but we are hoping the infection hasn’t spread to his blood.
Jax has been seen at our partner vet and his wound has been cleaned and wrapped. Despite his horrible condition, he is a very sweet boy. We will keep everyone updated on his progress.
Please, if you are able, donate to our newest rescue’s medical care via PayPal below. The dogs only have us and we only have YOU! Thank You!
Jax’s Updates:
Jax has been adopted! Congrats to Jax and his furever dad!
From Jax’s foster family, Oct. 2015: He’s doing well! He had another bandage change this week. The wounds on his back look much better and although I can’t see the wound on his leg, he’s using that leg more and more each day.. So we’ll see! He’s been feeling good and wanting to play more and more each day too- he even climbed up onto the couch a couple of times in the last few days. He tends to be a bit pushy and up in everyone’s faces lol but we’re working on it. Definitely just a big goofy pup. He’s a cutie!
He is so cute!!! Glad that he is feeling better.
