From Yuma:Â This precious little nine year old yorkie blend is only 8 lbs , we have x-rays and she has a badly broken pelvis, couldn’t walk but today she is trying but holding one leg up. Is there any room at M.A.I.N. for her?
Our van will be in Phx. this Thursday if you think you can help her. OH she only has one eye. The one was removed at some point and vet says it was a good job. Can’t believe no one is looking for her.
Dr. Katie looked at the xrays for me and said her injury will require pain meds and crate rest. Her name is Fraggle.
Update May 28th 2017:
Fraggle and Panda are doing great. First time I’ve gotten to spend any time with Panda. Max has been keeping him company all weekend. Have yet to get a picture taken of them together!
Fraggle is probably one of the easiest fosters I’ve ever had!!! Except her ninja pill skills!!! She has outwitted us several times! We think she’s swallowed them and we come back and find them sitting at her dainty little feet! But we will persevere!
Update July 3rd 2017:
Fraggle is finally using her hind leg when she is going slow. She is doing great. She is such an easy going girl. Probably the easiest foster I’ve ever had!
We did discover yesterday when she didn’t get out back in her crate immediately after she pottied that she may be cat aggressive. Our freeway kitten is behind the laundry door and Fraggle was barking and growling at her through it! We will have to see what she does when she can see the moving animal behind the door versus just sensing it’s there.
She does seem to do ok with new dogs, although is definitely not thrilled with new big dogs, understandably. But so far she’s gotten over it when it becomes obvious the big dog could care less about her.
