Meet Carly.
This tiny 8 week old Terrier puppy came into the shelter as a stray with a sibling. Her sibling was fine, and went to another rescue.
We were asked to help Carly because something just wasn’t right with her…
She appears to be blind, and has a large bump/fluid filled area on the top of her little head.
She is in a wonderful foster home tonight, and we will keep an eye on this for now. She’s sweet and responds to sound/noise. We are not able to tell at this point if she’s blind or not, as her senses aren’t fully developed at this age.
She will see our vets for a follow up in 3 weeks for her next vaccination; sooner of course, if needed. At that time we may be able to take x-rays of her head. Doing it now won’t tell us much, as she needs a little time to grow and develop.
Please, if you are able, donate to Carly’s medical fund via PayPal below. Thank You!
Carly’s Updates:
Carly has been adopted! Congrats to Carly and her furever family!
Carly update from her foster mom, May 2016: Her bump is definitely not any bigger. It’s soft, but there is a protrusion where the fontanel is open. She runs and plays…no impairment except vision, so far. She is a doll!
