Meet Boomer.

Boomer had the misfortune of ending up at the county shelter; one of the hundreds of homeless animals surrendered or brought in as strays on a daily basis.

Boomer had the added misfortune of being too sick to go up for adoption. That’s when M.A.I.N. stepped up to get this adorable pup out of the shelter and to a vet for the medical care he needs!

Boomer was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder called Strangles which causes redness, swelling and pustules on the face.

Boomer is now on medication and recovering in foster and we will keep everyone updated on his progress.

We couldn’t do what we do without the generosity of supporters like YOU! Please consider a donation to Boomer’s medical care. Thank You!

Boomer’s Updates:

Boomer has been adopted! CONGRATS to Boomer and his new fur-ever home!

boomersnoozeBoomer’s Bio: Hi I’m Boomer! I was turned into the county shelter at 8 weeks old and put on the euthanasia list for a medical condition called puppy strangles. MAIN rescued me and I have been in foster for about 6 weeks now healing and getting all ready for my forever family. I am about 14 weeks old, I have tons of puppy energy and I would do best in a home that has a very playful dog that would welcome my energy. I am currently living with 5 foster brothers and sisters and they all love me. I am also completely house trained with a doggy door. I am working on my “sit” right now too and am doing pretty good too. My foster mom is very proud of me, she says I must be the smartest puppy ever because I am such a quick study! I get along with everyone I meet so far- kids, other dogs and even the cats I met!

Boomer Update, Aug. 5th: Boomer is doing amazing in foster! He is full of puppy energy and loves everyone he meets. He first went to foster at 11 pounds…and is now a whopping 21 pounds. A growing boy!
