Meet Aly.
A volunteer was at the county shelter when she saw this one month old puppy being turned in as a “stray.” This poor little gal was smeared in “Blu-Kote,” a home remedy substance for animals. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this home “remedy” on a dog in terrible condition…
This puppy obviously needed a vet and so our volunteer called us and notified us right away! We suspect Aly has “puppy strangles,” a condition commonly seen in very young dogs that causes inflammation, infection and pustules to the face, ears and neck.
Aly will see our partner vet for medical care and recover in a loving foster home. Please donate to Aly’s medical care chip-in fund. We will update on Aly’s condition as we know more! Thank You!
Aly’s Updates:
Aly has made a full recovery from puppy strangles and has been adopted! Congrats Aly and your new fur-ever!
From Aly’s foster mom, Oct. 31st: Aly is responding amazingly to treatment! Eating, drinking and plumbing working fine. Loves the warm compresses that are part of her treatment plan and her wounds are already drying up. She’s a sweetheart and had about an hour playtime tonight.
L lo0ve all of the angels for these babies and if I could have more and afford their medical, that love would keep me happy, for a life, **** to all of you ~O~
