Meet Allie.
Allie was rescued from the county shelter in serious condition. This poor girl tested positive for Heartworms, Tick Fever AND Tapeworms. Allie also has an infection in both ears AND the tests at our vets have shown she is also positive for Valley Fever.
How much more could go wrong for this poor pup?
Luckily, MAIN and a wonderful foster family stepped in to get Allie out of the shelter and started on the road to health. In her first day in foster, Allie spiked a 104 temperature and had to be taken to the emergency vet for treatment where she received fluids and nausea medication.
Allie understandably doesn’t feel so great, but her foster family is taking amazing care of her, showing her so much love and TLC (and even cooking her chicken for dinner!).
We will keep everyone up to date on Allie’s long road to recovery. Please, if you are able, help us help Allie by donating to her medical care chip in fund via PayPal below. Thank You!
Allie’s Updates:
We are heartbroken to say that Allie’s illnesses were too much for her and she has crossed the rainbow bridge. Allie was loved by her foster family, the vets who worked so hard for her and the entire MAIN team. We believe in addition to all her other illnesses, Allie also had distemper and the struggle became too much. We are content to know she is finally at peace…rest in peace, Allie and know you are loved.
