Meet Adele.

This 3 month old long-haired Chihuahua mix was rescued from the county east shelter with a condition called “Strangles”
Strangles is an inflammatory skin condition that causes pustules, mostly on the face and ears. This condition primarily affects puppies, just like Adele. Needless to say it’s incredibly itchy and uncomfortable for the poor pup! 🙁

Adele was not adoptable in this condition and needed a rescue to get her the outside vet care she needs to become a healthy dog again. We were happy to take in this adorable little dog and are looking forward to watching her grow and heal in her foster home.

Please, if you are able, donate to Adele’s medical care below.

Every little bit counts- THANK YOU! We will keep everyone up to date on Adele’s progress with MAIN.

adele7Adele’s Bio: Adele is SO much puppy cuteness rolled into one little five pound body! This tiny lady loves to play and loves to snuggle! Per her foster mom, she is housetrained with a doggy door, will “sit” on command, rides well in the car and is kennel trained. Adele has met her foster mom’s little grandson and does great with him. She also gets along with the other small dogs in her foster home and loves to play! We hope you’ve got lots of toys in your house, because Adele LOVES those! Next to playing, her favorite past time is snuggling. Adorable, playful, loving and well-behaved; what more could you ask for?!
Update on Adele from her foster mom, May 2016: Adele is so loving and friendly! She weighs 4.3 pounds at her last vet checkup.
