image_1360881177511463This is Minnie, a sweet and young Cocker Mix that was a staff favorite at the East Shelter. Minnie was about to be adopted, and when they altered her the vets examined her teeth and found that she had a tumor in her mouth!

We’re going to do all we can for her, which includes getting this girl off of the euthanasia list and in for tests with Bethany Animal Hospital.  We also need to find a foster family to share their home with her while she recuperates.

She leaves the shelter tomorrow, and we’ll let everyone know how she’s doing after she’s been to see Dr. Katie – but tonight, keep her in your thoughts and if you can donate to her medical fund, Thank You!

Medical Update on Minnie, Feb.28th: Minnie’s tumor was removed on Thursday and today the results of the biopsy came back benign!  This is the best news that we could have hoped for, so congratulations Minnie!!!

Medical Update on Minnie, Feb.15th: Initial suspicions are that Minnie’s mass is a TVT (transmissible venereal tumor). We will know more after her full dental and will keep everyone posted. In the meantime, Minnie will be on prophylactic antibiotics. She is happy and eating just fine in her foster home!

Minnie’s Updates:

Congrats to Minnie and her new fur-ever family! It sure didn’t take long for her to find her happy ending; we LOVE when it happens that way!

Update on Minnie, Feb. 22nd: Moose is checking out Minnie as she does her happy dance. Minnie is such a happy little girl, she knows “sit” and walks good on her leash, she will have no problem finding a wonderful home once she is cleared! The surgery went fine and we should have results in a couple of days.

Update on Minnie, Feb. 20th: Minnie goes in for her surgery tomorrow, I sure hope that she won’t have to be kept away from other dog’s much longer she really wants to come out and play!

From Minnie’s weekend foster: Poor Minnie wants to come out to play but will have to wait and see what is going on with the tumor in her mouth, hopefully she will not have to be isolated much longer. She looks like a miniature Pyrenean Mountain dog, such a cutie and so sweet and quiet, she will make a wonderful addition to any family.

Minnie stopped by for some glamour shots at Don’s house! Check them out…it doesn’t get much cuter than this happy, smiley girl!

  1. Hi – I’m a bit confused from the write up, we found this link from another site that says she was available. Is she adoptable at this time? She sounds like such a sweetie.
