Hope, Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix

hope (1 of 1)-2Meet Hope.

Hope’s former family surrendered her to the shelter, unable to afford her vet care. They had taken her to an outside vet and were told that she possibly had kidney stones or some sort of other urinary tract infection/disease.

Unfortunately the county shelter is not a full service vet clinic and they were unable to diagnose and potentially treat Hope. Hope was given a medical time limit and at risk for euthanasia. Luckily, we got to this girl in the nick of time and she has already had her first vet appointment with our partner vet.

Initial xrays do not show a kidney stone or a bladder infection. We have sent the urine off for culture and will repeat the xray soon to double check. For now, Hope is safe in a loving foster home and is a complete sweetheart! She is dog, kid and people friendly.

We will keep everyone updated on Hope’s diagnosis and progress. Please, if you are able, donate to Hope’s medical care via PayPal below; every little bit counts. Thank You!

Hope’s Updates:

Hope has been adopted! Congrats to Hope and her furever family!

Update on Hope: Hope’s repeat x-rays did not show any bladder stones. She occasionally leaks a small amount of urine, but is on medicine for this, which helps. Her foster mom says she is “so polite and gives kisses!”
