Meet Bentley.

Bentley is approximately one year old and was rescued from county with medical issues with his eyes.

Medical Update, Aug. 14th from Dr. Katie: His eyes are BAD. His palpebral fissures – eyelid openings – are abnormally small all around, and his eyes are smaller than normal as well. These conditions are called micropalpebral fissures and microophthalmia, respectively. Once I got his eyelids out of the way his corneas look fine. He’s young enough that there doesn’t appear to be any significant damage.

Bentley’s Updates:

Bentley is home! His foster family knew they were the perfect match and have officially adopted him! Congrats!

bentley7 (532x800)A note on Bentley: Bentley will need to go to a house with children ages school age and up due to his activity level. He loves other dogs! He especially loves big dogs and is great with the girls; he gets a little over-anxious with males his size. He eats like a horse and is kennel and house-trained. He loves to take walks and run in the park. He loves big rubber tires to chew on and you can’t give him blankets in his kennel because he tries to eat them. He loves his chew toys and bones and loves to cuddle. He knows how to find the ball when hidden and other toys. He loves to ride in the car and never gets car sick. He is not a huge barker and will let you know when he has to go potty and when he wants back inside the house. He enjoys taking walks, baths, and playing ball. He is learning his commands: “sit, stay and lay.” He is housebroken and enjoys being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is a very happy dog with personality and wit. He has so much love to give and is very affectionate. He will make a great companion to someone who has school aged children or a couple who is very active. Bentley also snores, which shows he is relaxed and happy. He is a lover and not a fighter and will make a great pet for the person who adopts him! He needs someone who will play and have fun with him.
