This poor girl has been hit by a car. We are picking her up this morning and she will go straight to the vet for x-rays. We have named her Autumn. Follow this page for updates, and if you can spare $5 toward her medical bills, we would certainly appreciate it..

Update September 26th 2017:

Although the hospital was able to express her huge bladder last night, Autumn is back in the hospital this morning. They aren’t able to express her bladder again for fear of causing more damage. If she doesn’t pee on her own very soon, she will have to be sedated and a urinary catheter placed. This will require her to stay in the hospital for a few days in order to let her bladder rest.

Despite coming to us as a broken and dirty street dog, Autumn is very sweet and loving. She has multiple pelvic fractures and is too painful to properly urinate. She’s covered in cuts and bruises from her run in with the car. An ACO actually witnessed her get hit and roll several times. 😢

If you are able, we would appreciate any amount you can spare to help us with Autumn’s care. You can donate here:

Update September 26th 2017:

Alta Vista just called. Autumn is doing well. She’s eating and peeing on her own. Yay! Crate rest and watch her pain level. We can increase the gabapentin dosage if needed. Let her go at her own pace with activity restriction. 💞

Update September 27th 2017:

Autumn has been home for a few hours. She ate a bland dinner. She pooped and peed ok. She seems to be doing ok. Once Dave get home from work later this evening she will getting a bath; to de-stink her. 💜💜
