Meet Wiley.

Wiley11It was reported to the officers who picked up Wiley that he had been attacked by a coyote. Wiley is dirty, covered in mats and understandably fearful.

Wiley was scheduled to be euthanized at the county pound for his injuries…but that’s where the sad story ends for this little guy.

M.A.I.N. stepped in to rescue Wiley and he will get the vet care he needs while recovering in a wonderful foster home.

We are constantly impressed and humbled by these animal’s resilience…once out of the building, Wiley transformed into a much happier, more confident dog. It’s as if he knew his new life was just beginning.

Please, be a part of Wiley’s story by helping us with his vet bills. You can donate via Pay-Pal link at the bottom of the page. 100% of your donations goes towards the animals- Thank You!

Wiley’s Updates:

Wiley has been adopted! Congrats to Wiley and his fur-ever family!

DSC09918A note from Wiley’s foster mom: Wiley is house trained, crate trained and very high energy! He loves running around the backyard playing with the big dogs. He’s not too much into being held or playing with toys- he would much rather be outside exploring. He has had zero issues with the bigger dogs, but if they invade his space he will let them know. He absolutely loves my daughter who is 16 and prefers to hang out with her on the bed. He really seems to love everyone he meets!

From Wiley’s foster mom, Sept. 12th: Everything went fine at the vet check. Wiley isn’t on any medications and it turns out he just has the one scab from the attack. He has been neutered, chipped and vaccinated. I’m sure he will be adoptable as soon as the neuter site heals! He is a super cutie. I will post a pic of him with the “cone of shame” on, as he is adorable. He has had no problem with anyone he’s met now that he has decompressed from the shelter. He gets along with all of my BIG dogs, no problem. He is just a happy-go-lucky guy, for sure!
