Who We Are
The M.A.I.N. Team is an Arizona based, all volunteer group focused on identifying, transporting, aiding and promoting animals from Arizona shelters who need immediate and sometimes costly medical attention the shelters are unable to provide.
MCACC staff and the M.A.I.N. Team work very closely for the success of this project. Therefore, no negativity of any kind will be tolerated on this page. We are seeking positive solutions to the current overpopulation problems we face in Maricopa County.

A question, awhile back I put in some funds to help a couple dogs in your care but a question….all the dogs you take in … they do get adopted, correct?
I am hoping that is the case. That you have taken them in given them the care they needed to get healthy and then you or a rescue group assure that they are adopted to a loving home…after all they have been through I would hope that this is the case and that someone is following up after the adoptions.
Please let me know because no where on your page does it state what happens to the animals once they are healthy, thank you.
Hi Jeanne! Thanks for asking!
All of the animals in our care are placed in foster homes while they recover. Sometimes those fosters are foster failures and adopt! It happens way more often than people think.
All of our animals are up for adoption after they are medically cleared by our vets. We have a process that requires home visits, meet and greets and other safeguards to make sure our animals are placed in the perfect furever home.
Kelly,
Thank you for responding to my question. I have another one and didn’t want to post it on Facebook.
Sabrina, I was very sad and sorry to hear that she lost her battle. I have no doubt that M.A.I.N. gave her all the love y’all could during her battle. It was very hard to see the video of her crying. And so very sad to think that someone did/left her in that condition. Thankfully, there are groups out there like yours. I just wish there were more and that people would wake up and spay and neuter their animals. Thank you for everything you do.
My question in regards to Sabrina…in the video y’all stated that she had a companion who was trying to help keep her comfortable. Can you tell me what happened to him/her? I would like to think that he/she was rescued for the efforts that he/she gave comfort to Sabrina the best he/she could.
Thank you again and thank you ahead of time for your response.
God Bless and watch over you and all the animals who are hurting and lacking the love they so deserve.
Where is Benson, what happened to him, why no updates on this poor dog. I saw his video on April 12th and it made me want to cry. I’ve never seen I dog that looks like he would just like to die.
All your babies are so cute and look very well taken care of….you guys are providing a life-saving service to these dogs/puppies! I so admire what you are doing and wish I could help you, but you are so far away from me! I would Love to take Snickers and Peanut! I already love those little fellows! Best of luck to you and to the daring duo! ~<3~
Jeanne, Sabrina’s brother was adopted the day after we saved Sabrina. I too wish the outcome would have been different with her. It still bothers me more than you could know… Don
Deana, Benson was rescued by Raven Pines and COMPLETELY rehabilitated. By Ellen and her husband. There wasn’t a more perfect spot for that boy to heal than on their ranch. Now, Benny (renamed) has been officially adopted and will live out his life as a cherished member of the family! Don
p.s.- thanks for asking about him!
Favorite Benson photo:

Thank-you so much for letting me know what happened to Benson. He looked so young and such a beautiful dog, how he acted in the video let me know he had gone through some kind of abuse besides being starved to near death. I’m so happy he found a good home and how fast he came around is really great. Thank-you for the photos he looks fantasic !!
Made a donation for Gibbs today, I'm a scottie lover and have 3 of my own. Thank God for what you are doing for him, sweet boy. Will you be looking for a forever home for him?
Iam so proud to know a few of MAINS people and BAH people, they gave me the greatest gift My Mac who without them would have been put down because as a pup he got hit by a car and his leg was broken, the SPCA I know has their hands full already and can only do what they can and dread every time they put any dog down that could be saved but this group thru donations only saved this amazing dog so he could live a normal happy life here in my pack……never enough thanks can be given to you all…Love Mike Skarlot.
