Thai is happy to be rescued!Meet Thai.

Poor Thai needed a rescue outlet from the county shelter after he was diagnosed with mange and a respiratory infection. Thai’s fur was red and swollen and he was consistently coughing and sneezing.

We’re sure this guy must have been miserable between the itching from the mange and the discomfort oh his respiratory infection. Despite his condition though, volunteers said that Thai was one of the sweetest pups in the shelter and never stops giving kisses and cuddles.

Thai is only five months old and weighs 44 pounds! We will take him to our partner vet for treatment while he recovers in a loving foster home. We can’t wait to see the “after” pictures of this handsome guy!

Please, if you are able, donate to Thai’s medical care via PayPal link below- every little bit helps. Thank You!

Thai’s Updates:

Thai has been adopted! Congrats to Thai and his forever family!

Thai happyUpdate Oct., 2015 from Thai’s foster family: The vet thinks he’s going to weigh about 75 pounds all told, I say 80-85 – which for a Dane is TINY. He is so sweet, but I think he’d be too rambunctious if the people had very small children (he doesn’t realize he can bowl people over!). Obviously he does well with my dogs- the ONLY issue he has with them is over his food. I have to crate him separately when he eats. He doesn’t care if a person takes away the bowl or toy, but he sounds like a gorilla if one of the other dogs comes near him when he’s eating. He is “interested” in our cat, but our cat doesn’t want anything to do with HIM – so he stares at him from a distance (obviously then no chasing). He is also housebroken – but he has easy access to the dog door so I don’t know how he’d do if he had to send a message from the door. As for walking? He still gets excited. For the most part he does okay, but could certainly use more work.

Update Sept. 2015: Thai has had his first negative mange scrape! One more and he is officially adoptable. Thai weighs in at a whopping 63.4 pounds and still growing!
