Kane was rescued from the county shelter at just five weeks old and weighing only 2.3 pounds! He has a condition called “Puppy Strangles,” a nodular and glandular disorder that causes oozing pustules most commonly around the muzzle and ears.
Kane is currently on two different medicated ear drops, antibiotics and steroids. We are sure that with time, TLC and vet care, Kane will grow up to be a happy, healthy dog.
We will keep everyone updated on Kane’s progress. In the meantime, please donate to his medical care chip in fund via PayPal; the dogs only have us and we only have you! Thank You!
Kane has been officially adopted by his foster mom! Congrats, Kane and your new family!
From Kane’s foster, March 2015: Kane is a super sweet guy, very cute and fun to interact with. People who see him, love him and he has done really well interacting with visitors here. Some family is going to enjoy the heck out of him when they get him!
Update on Kane, January 19th 2015: Kane got to visit the vet today he weighed in at 3.5 pounds! No more medications needed- he is healing so well!
