Hogan, Retriever Mix

Hogan’s Story:

Hogan was rescued from county with several large wounds covering his young body. Right now, he only trusts women, and we can only guess why that is the case. But, with time — Hogan will learn to trust people again — and with your help, we can continue to save the dogs that others have treated as meaningless and disposable.

6/28 from foster mom, Gayla: Tough day. Hogan took a decided turn for the worse last night. Would not eat or drink this morning. Very runny nose and eyes. Couldn’t see and was falling when trying to walk. Took him to BAH where Docs diagnosed him with Distemper. We would like to thank the leadership of M.A.I.N. who allowed Hogan to be humanely euthanized. We are so grateful to have had the chance to foster him, even for so short a time. We loved him. He took his last breath with Tim and I loving and petting him. We will miss him so much. Can’t help but think that he can do all the great doggy things now that he wasn’t able to do here and we will get to see him again someday! R.I.P beautiful Hogan…
